The Conductivity Cell 2221 is a dip-type cell designed for immersion in open channels and tanks in paper & pulp manufacture, industrial effluent, water quality monitoring in tidal rivers, river & canal waters, brewing & dairy CIP plants and desalination plants. The associated conductivity instrument utilizes a 2221 multi-electrode measuring cell whereby the current and voltage characteristics of the electrolyte are measured separately. This enables the electrode surfaces to become coated without impairing operation of the measuring system. With its ability to provide consistently accurate monitoring and control, under conditions which would adversely affect a standard two-electrode conductivity system, the multi-electrode system can be used in areas that would be otherwise maintenance-intensive.
