Inputs

To carry out its control and automation task, the ABB i-bus® EIB / KNX system must be able to detect and react to both user commands, as well as important changes in the installation and the building environment. Whether professional sensor values, meteorological data or simple on-off voltage signals, the ABB range of inputs guarantees maximum connectability and compatibility with the outside world.

The ABB Range includes:

  • Binary inputs for the universal detection of switched voltage signals and for monitoring the status of potential free contacts.
  • Universal interfaces allow the problem free integration of non EIB / KNX wiring accessories such as standard light switches into the ABB i-bus® EIB / KNX system.
  • Analogue inputs for the conversion and processing of diverse analogue measurement signals according to DIN IEC 60381.
  • ‘Weather’ units for collecting and processing data from meteorological sensors.
