Protection and Control IED Manager PCM 600 is an easy-to-handle tool providing versatile functionalities required throughout the life cycle of ABB's protection and control IEDs in transmission and distribution applications. Its Microsoft Windows based user interface with many familiar and easy-to-use functions adds to operating comfort.
PCM 600 features fast and reliable downloading and uploading of configuration and settings as well as uploading of disturbance files both locally and remotely. It utilizes TCP/IP via corporate LAN or WAN, or alternatively directly through the communication port at the front of the IED.
PCM 600 provides advanced handling of parameter settings. Its filtering functionality allows you to quickly view and change the most important parameters, or in the advanced mode, handle all parameters. Through upload of current settings and comparison functionality you can ensure that intented settings have been modified and that the values are correct before the new IED settings are downloaded.
Additionally, you can monitor measurements and signal statuses with the PCM 600 tool. It also provides efficient functionality for application configuration and communication engineering. Furthermore, PCM 600 offers easy-to-use configuration capabilities for I/O mapping and functionality for creating and editing single line diagrams for the IED HMI.
PCM 600 takes the first step towards a new era of disturbance handling: It scans and retrieves disturbance information for automatic report file generation. It can also automatically send the report to pre-defined e-mail addresses to facilitate for fast corrective actions. It thus allows relay engineers to concentrate on disturbance analysis instead of on manual data collection.
