HPL B is a live tank SF6 puffer circuit breaker. It is based on a well proven technology (over 13,000 units in service). HPL B is operated by motor charged spring operated mechanism. HPL B covers the voltage range from 72.5 up to 800 kV and short-circuit currents up to 80 kA.
Circuit breakers with one breaking unit per pole are normally operated with one spring operating mechanism, type BLG. When single-pole operation is required, or for circuit breakers with two breaking units per pole, each pole is operated with its own operating mechanism.
