2007-12-04 - ABB Limited has launched an easy to use wallchart to help users find their way through the maze of selecting flow metering equipment for process applications.
The huge array of flow technology options on offer can often make selecting the correct flow meter for a processing application a bewildering task. A broad range of factors can influence flow meter selection, many of which are not immediately obvious.
’The essential guide to process flow measurement’ wallchart presents ABB’s range of flow meter models for process industry applications and explains how to select the appropriate model for an application.
Every flow meter included on the wallchart is accompanied by a full range of data for operation and specification, including details of flow range and turndown, design pressures and temperatures, plus connection types and sizes. The advantages and limitations of each type of flow meter are also listed on the chart.
In addition, the chart also features an at-a-glance table providing a simple to use guide to which flow meter types are best for particular applications. Flow meters are grouped according to their operating techniques, with each type of flow meter graded according to its suitability using coloured bars.
A copy of the wallchart can be obtained by sending an email with your name, company and address details to enquiries@abbiap.com, reference ‘Process flow wallchart’ or by calling ABB on 0870 600 6122.
ABB manufactures and supplies a full range of flow meter types. Options available include electromagnetic, mass, vortex, swirl, variable area, ultrasonic and differential pressure flow meters.
