2008-05-28 - During the past several months, the ABB team in Pinetops, North Carolina, has made several key changes to increase capacity and output to respond to the continued, unprecedented demand for instrument transformers.
These actions are now paying off and we are pleased to announce a significant reduction in lead times for ABB ANSI instrument transformers. The new lead times are listed below:
- Low Voltage Plastic Case Transformers: 5-6 weeks
- Bushing Current Transformers: 5-6 weeks
- Low Voltage Metering Transformers: 4-5 weeks
- Medium Voltage Instrument Transformers: 5-6 weeks
- Epoxy (HCEP) Medium Voltage Instrument Transformers: 6-8 weeks
In addition, new resources have been added to the Marketing & Sales team in Pinetops to continue to provide world-class customer support during this growth period. Scott Webb has joined the ABB marketing team as Sales Engineer working with Fred Ratchford. He will be working with utility customers in the Northeast, Central, and West regions. Brad Freels has joined the ABB marketing team as Sales Engineer working with Utility customers in the Southeast and Southcentral regions. Finally, Dustin Prescott has joined the ABB marketing team as Sales Engineer for the Distribution and Industrial channels.
